Are tall buildings safe?

If you consider your single story home on the ground safe; then yes.

The problems you encounter in tall buildings are different more so than greater.

you should be pleased to know that a great deal more research, engineering, and skill in building tall buildings than goes into building a single story home. And yet, few people seem worried about the safety of that home.

Huge measures are taken in making sure people are able to safely leave tall buildings during emergencies. Most situations that would endanger you in a tall building would have already killed you in a single story scenario. (Didn’t mean for that to get so grim.)

So, yes, if you feel safe in buildings closer to the ground, you should feel safe in tall ones.
